The Syrian Electronic Payment Company
(SeP) was created pursuant to Law No. 13 of 29 March 2012, and is subject to the Companies Law promulgated by Legislative Decree No. 29 of 2011. Its goal is set out to create the necessary infrastructure for electronic payment services, and is specifically responsible for implementing and operating the national unified e-payment system linking the banking sector with the issuers of invoices, fees recipients, e-commerce service providers and other concerned parties, on economic and development bases
